As part of its commitment to provide local residents more control over their future, Sacramento County has formed four Community Planning Councils as a two-year pilot project. The Councils began work in October 2005. Patterned after the County's Planning Commission, the Councils are geared to provide local control over many land-use issues that affect the community's quality of life. They replaced their area's Community Planning Advisory Council. Use the following links to learn more about the Community Planning Councils or to see how you can become involved:
