What's Happening in the County:

  • Know the rules about political signs – Showing your support for a candidate or issue is allowed prior to elections to support free speech. Sacramento's Zoning Code exempts political signs from normal restrictions as long as they are removed within ten days after the election, and are set back at least five feet from property lines and ten feet from the public right-of-way. If you spot signs still up after ten days beyond the November election, call 916-875-5656, or file a report online.
  • Pay Online with e-Check – Save gas, stamps, and credit card fees. Use e-Check as a convenient, inexpensive way to make an online payment to the County. For a flat fee of $1.50 you can pay your property tax or purchase a parks pass online.
  • Assistant Coroner Receives Prestigious Award – Ed Smith has been recognized by the California State Coroner’s Association as manager of the year. Smith is a 24-year-veteran of the coroner’s office. Read the news release to learn more.
  • Addition to Dry Creek Parkway Helps Protect Open Space – The Board of Supervisors approved a recent purchase of 1.35 acres of land near the Dry Creek Parkway. This will expand the area, preserve open space and engage in smart floodplain management. Read the news release to learn more.
  • Protect Yourself this Flu Season – The flu season is arriving and Sacramento County Public Health is offering flu clinics to the public beginning Monday, October 20 through Thursday, December 18. View our Flu Clinic Schedule and find out why getting immunized is important!
