Printing PagesMost pages are designed to size to the width of your screen. This reduces scrolling and helps make the site more accessible to people with disabilities. However, at times this can make printing a page more complex. Internet Explorer If you use Internet Explorer, the page content will automatically resize to match the printable area. No changes are necessary. Netscape If you use Netscape, page content does not automatically size and may not print properly. In most cases, this may be corrected by changing the page layout to landscape (long side horizontal). To do this:
Reading Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) FilesTo Read a PDF ... Use Adobe Acrobat Reader In order to make documents and forms available to the widest audience, the County of Sacramento website, www.saccounty.net, uses the Portable Document Format (PDF) developed by Adobe. PDF files are printer-independent and the original document can be easily duplicated using any graphics printer. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view Portable Document Format (PDF) files. The free Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded so that you can view and print Adobe PDF files on all major platforms. The free Adobe Acrobat Access Plug-in can be downloaded to enable users with vision impairments to read Adobe PDF documents. PDF documents will open in a separate window if you are using Acrobat Reader or in the browser window if an Acrobat® plug-in is active in your browser environment. Please refer to the Adobe Acrobat Reader and Plug-in web pages for system requirements and installation instructions. If you need further information, Customer Support is available at Adobe's web site. Please do not contact the County of Sacramento for problems or questions concerning the Adobe Acrobat Reader software. NOTE: Some users are experiencing problems viewing PDF documents in Microsoft Internet Explorer. When you try to view a PDF file in Internet Explorer, you may see a blank window or frame instead of the PDF file. This may occur even though you have installed the Adobe Acrobat Reader program and you are normally able to view PDF files in that program. For solution information, see the Microsoft Support Page.
