The ninth annual California Capital Airshow, presented by Sacramento County, lands at Mather Airport on September 6 and 7. The headline act is the United States Air Force (USAF) Air Combat Command F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team. This family-friendly event also includes a roster of awe-inspiring performers, aircraft and interactive exhibits.
This year’s Airshow will commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-day with “Stars & Stripes Forever” – a salute to veterans and the greatest generation. Attendees will enjoy a step back in time with an authentic theatrical production featuring professional military re-enactors, a parade of vintage warbirds, live USO-style music, costumes and pyrotechnics. In addition, the Airshow will feature performances by the Harrier Jump Jet, the U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight, a wing walker, civilian aerobatics pilots, and the Smoke N’ Thunder jet car. The Aerojet Rocketdyne Launchpad exhibit encourages teens to explore the future and learn about careers in space and aviation.
Advance tickets are available on the Airshow ticket sales webpage for as low as $15 per adult. Tickets are $20 at the gate.
