The Sacramento County Bradshaw Animal Shelter is holding a "Just One Day: Every Day More Saves" event from 1-4 p.m., Thursday, June 11 in honor of the national no-euthanasia campaign. Sacramento County residents can receive free rabies, DHPP and FVRCP vaccinations, microchipping and one-year licenses for pets four months and older.
Just One Day, celebrated every June 11, is an annual effort of the no-kill movement that asks shelters to pledge a day of no euthanasia. The Bradshaw Animal Shelter made that pledge and included the tagline “Every Day, More Saves,” to emphasize the work the shelter does to save lives every day, such as extensive medical care, behavior modification,
spay and neuter surgeries,
foster, rescue and
volunteer programs and the work of the
BAAT Mobile community outreach clinic.
The Bradshaw Shelter is partnering with rescue groups and supporting agencies to honor those who share the mission and work every day to save lives and heighten community respect for all animals, including:
Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation
Lapcats Rescue
Pit Crew Pit Bull Rescue
