Reminder: Elverta Road closure (between E. Levee Rd & Sorento Rd) at Railroad Crossing Nov. 8 -10.
Elverta Road between East Levee and Sorento Roads will be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad crossing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily for three days from Wednesday, Nov. 8, through Friday, Nov. 10.
These daytime road closures will be conducted in both the east and west bound traffic lanes allowing crews to perform maintenance operations around the railroad crossing panels to remove and repair asphalt near the tracks.
PLEASE NOTE: The Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SACDOT) will be conducting an overnight closure of Elverta Road between East Levee and Sorento Roads. Due to unforeseen issues along the Union Pacific Railroad tracks, SACDOT will be unable to reopen Elverta Road by 5 p.m., on Nov. 8. Crews will work through the night to make the necessary repairs to make up for this setback.
The start date has moved from Nov. 6 to Nov. 8. We understand the challenges and many inconveniences that commuters, residents and businesses will experience during the daytime road closure and appreciate your patience.
Detours: The public can take W. Riego Road to the north or W. Elkhorn Blvd to the south during the closure.
