Nearly 40 people attended a grand opening today of the new County Service Center located in the former McClellan Air Force Base. Supervisors Susan Peters and Roberta MacGlashan spoke at the event that was attended by local residents, business owners, and government agencies.
“We want residents to have access to a wide variety of County services close to their homes,” said Brad Hudson, County Executive. “In addition to the North Center, we have a very successful Center on Hazel Avenue and will be opening one in the south county early next year.”
Currently, the Center services include building permits, pet licenses, and utility bill payments.
The Center also houses the Business Environmental Resource Center (known as BERC). BERC provides free and confidential assistance to local businesses with obtaining environmental permits, and provides information about federal, state, and local environmental regulations to help minimize or avoid adverse impacts on the environment. This month, BERC is celebrating its 20th anniversary serving our community.
The North Sacramento Service Center and Business Environmental Resource Center are located at 3331 Peacekeeper Way, suites 100 and 200. The Service Center is open Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. and BERC is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. View a complete list of County Service Centers with maps.
