The 10th annual California Capital Airshow, presented by Sacramento County, takes flight October 2 through October 4 at Mather Airport
. Aviation fans of all ages will experience spectacles by some of the top performing flight teams and pilots in North America. This year may be the only chance to see two of North America’s Elite Military Jet Demonstration teams in one place – the USAF Thunderbirds and the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds.
Spectators also will enjoy aerobatic pilots including Rob Holland, John Klatt, Gene Soucy, Julie Clark, and Matt Younkin. Sky-high feats will be performed by unique aircraft such as the powerful Super Hornet, the screaming Sasquatch, the “Old Glory” B-25, and the rare Commemorative Air Force B-17. Static displays on the ramp include interactive exhibits for the whole family and an aircraft flight line with the chance to meet pilots and crew. Food, drink, and novelty vendors will keep the crowd charged during the demonstrations.
In addition to the day shows, the California Capital Airshow will introduce its first-ever night show, Airshow After Dark, featuring pyrotechnics, fast jets, music and daring aerobatic performers. This separate, one-night-only event on Friday will conclude with an exhilarating fireworks show.
Pre-sale general admission tickets start at $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-12, while tickets at the gate cost $25 and $15.
