On March 10, all job seekers are invited to the 2018 Sacramento County Career Fair to talk with County department representatives and get details on available jobs, day-to-day work activities and what it is like to have a career with purpose!

As the region’s second largest employer, Sacramento County has more than 11,000 employees working across 40 departments in fields such as technology, health care, finance, waste management, social services, law enforcement, parks and voter registration. The jobs County employees do, and the services they provide, improve the lives of our residents and our community. If you are looking for a career with purpose, attend the 2018 Sacramento County Career Fair and check out a video about why you should work for Sacramento County.

Rated overwhelmingly positive by those surveyed, last year’s first annual career fair brought nearly 900 local job seekers to the event. It is anticipated that this year’s event will have greater attendance and includes workshop sessions about navigating the application and exam process, and an onsite computer lab available to participants to apply for positions.

Hannah’s Happy Hiring Journey!

While completing her degree at Sacramento State, Hannah heard about the 2017 Sacramento County Career Fair. Although initially nervous, she decided to attend and had the opportunity to talk with many friendly employees who were excited to share how their work makes a difference in Sacramento County. It was when she visited the staff from the Department of Voter Registration and Elections that she learned about the Election Assistant position. Hannah applied and after a few months, she was hired and now serves as an integral part of the team.

“I’m so glad I attended the career fair and met with department representatives. I encourage anyone thinking about going to not hesitate because you never know what job opportunities are waiting for you.”
