It’s something we knew all along and now the Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties have honored the County with a Top Ten ranking by being one of the most technologically-advanced county governments in the United States.

Sacramento County Chief Information Officer Rami Zakaria, said, “Our County has done a tremendous job in continually looking for innovative ways to use technology to save money and reduce labor intensive processes that can be done more efficiently with technology. By looking at the big picture, the demands of government programs are met with streamlined processes, lower costs and integrated transparency.”
We work hard to make sure our technology and information systems are efficient and safe. Sacramento County took sixth place honors.
The remainder of the top ten are: 1st Montgomery County, MD; 2nd Hennepin County, MN; tied for 3rd San Diego County and Fairfax County, VA; tied for 4th King County, WA and Oakland County, MI; tied for 5th Fulton County, GA and Prince George’s County, MD; tied for 6th Sacramento County and Westchester County, NY; tied for 7th Baltimore County and Snohomish County, WA; 8th Wake County, NC; tied for 9th San Joaquin County and Orange County, FL; and tied for 10th Tarrant County, TX and Tulsa County, OK.
