The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors held a special event today to thank and celebrate the more than 3,500 volunteers who gave their time last year to County programs and services.
“Volunteers help us expand our reach and improve our services,” said Board Chair Roberta MacGlashan, District 4 Supervisor. “From clerical services, to dog walkers, to assisting at the Sheriff stations, our volunteers bring heart and passion to the work they do and help improve all of our lives. We are so grateful.”
Individuals and group representatives were present to receive resolutions from the Board of Supervisors, along with photos and accolades.
Resolutions were provided by District 4’s office, emcee services provided by Erin Maurie with First 5 Sacramento, photography by Julie Prayter and Color Guard Posting of Colors from Sheriff Department, and event organization by Tanya Brow with Personnel Services.
